Wire EDM machining (Electrical Discharge Machining) is an electrothermal production process in which a thin single-strand wire runs alongside water, acts as a tool for conducting electricity and allows the wire to cut through metal surfaces with ease.
The acquisition of the wire EDM machine marks a big step in advancement for Bachstein Consulting. This state-of-the-art equipment enables the company to maintain sharp internal corners, ensuring every critical cut is executed with unparalleled precision. Furthermore, it allows the manufacturing team to work with a wider range of materials while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and tolerance.
With the wire EDM machine now in operation, the prototype shop at Bachstein Consulting can now mill, turn, fabricate, heat treat, grind, and even laser engrave. It is because of machines like this and their experienced team that Bachstein Consulting can complete prototypes from their inception to fully functional assemblies all in one facility.
