Construction and Durability

Crafted from heavy-duty 600D polyester, the Tac-Six case is built to withstand the rigors of regular use. This material is known for its abrasion resistance and durability, ensuring that the case can endure harsh conditions and protect its contents effectively. The all-weather design further enhances its resilience, making it suitable for various environments. The Tac-Six case is built like a tank and would trust my scoped rifle will be Ok in it even in worse weather. The padding is thick to protect my optics. Zippers are strong and I am sure that they will last. My old rifle case (finally, ended in the garbage) had a broken zipper handle and that was driving me nuts every single time I had to open and close the case. This won’t happen with the Tac-Six case.

Design and Dimensions

Measuring 39 inches in length, 13 inches in width, and 4.5 inches in height, the case comfortably accommodates rifles up to 38 inches long. The single-compartment design provides ample space for your firearm, ensuring a secure fit during transport. As you can see in the picture and our video review, Umarex Zelos with an overall length of 36” fits PERFECTLY in this 38” case. One extra inch on top and one on the bottom is exactly what I was looking for. 13 inches in width gives me enough space for the same bullpup rifle with scope mounted (I have to do that but I was waiting for the scope rings to be delivered). The lockable feature adds an extra layer of security, allowing users to store their firearms safely when not in use.

My 36″ Umarex Zelos PCP air rifle fits perfectly in Tac-Six rifle case. 

Storage and Organization

The Tac-Six case excels in offering organized storage solutions. The front pocket, made from 1200D polyester, provides additional durability and features laser-cut MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) panels. This system allows users to customize their setup by attaching various accessories, ensuring quick access to essential gear. Inside there are 2 pockets of the same size. One is with a zip and the other is with Velcro for fast opening. Velcro is quite strong so maybe it will require some use to become “fast to open”. Inside the large front pocket, elastic magazine loops are available to help organize magazines and other accessories, accommodating AR-15, AR-10, and AK-47 mags.

Pockets

Two inner pockets and two front pockets are fantastic. Inner pockets are of the same size. Both are large enough to place a log of accessories, magazines, and ammo boxes in them. Front pockets are large but one is 30% larger for the larger objects to be pocketed. Pockets are heavily padded and that padding provides protection for both rifle and stored objects. 

Portability and Comfort

Transporting the case is made comfortable with the inclusion of rope-style carrying handles featuring a handle wrap. For those who prefer shoulder carry, a detachable, adjustable, and padded shoulder strap is provided, ensuring ease during extended periods of transport. 

User Experience

We love the Tac-Six case for its sturdy construction and thoughtful design. The heavy-duty materials and reinforced stitching contribute to a sense of reliability, with many users noting the case’s ability to withstand regular use without showing signs of wear. The lockable zippers have been highlighted as a valuable feature, providing peace of mind when storing firearms. 

The laser-cut MOLLE system is also a nice addition. We appreciate the ability to customize the case by attaching various pouches and accessories, and tailoring the setup to their specific needs. This adaptability makes the case suitable for a wide range of applications, from range visits to field operations.

• Limited Color Options: Some users may prefer more color choices beyond the standard black and coyote. Not us. I wanted black because it looks the best and it will show no stains with the use. 

• Single Firearm Capacity: Tac-Six that we tested is designed to hold one firearm, which may not suit users needing to transport multiple rifles. If you need two gun cases, you can buy a Tac-Six case for two rifles.
