Auto-Ordnance just presented a beautiful 1911 handgun – a Winged Warriors Series “Black Sheep” GI 1911!
This limited edition pistol, a collaboration between Outlaw Ordnance and Auto-Ordnance, honors the fearless fighter pilots of WWII’s Pacific theater. Their legacy lives on in the stunning Vought F4U Corsair artwork custom engraved on the pistol, a testament to their skill and bravery, and a tribute to the famous Ace that flew “Lucybelle” into harm’s way.
The rich blue color Cerakote used in this design is a custom mix, paired with Stormtrooper White, and USMC Red. The belly of the frame is polished and it is cleared with a matte Cerakote clear. The bold Blue, Red, and White scheme further emphasizes the spirit of American valor and victory. Aluminum grips are made in-house by Outlaw Ordnance. The overall design is engraved with textures simulating the Corsair’s metal and rivet patterns. Airplane roundels adorn the grips, and the Ace’s kill badges are depicted in bright red. Chambered in the timeless .45 ACP, this 1911 isn’t just a collector’s piece–it delivers the shooting performance expected from Auto-Ordnance.
