Instructor Listing on NSSA Website

In order to be listed as an instructor on the NSSA website, instructors must shoot a minimum of 500 registered targets in the current and/or previous year combined. This ensures instructors are keeping up with the latest NSSA rules, procedures and policies. Instructors who are unable to shoot the required targets to be listed as an NSSA instructor may request an exemption from the requirement by contacting the NSSA Chief Instructor. Additionally, an exemption of the target requirement may be granted upon request to those who can demonstrate they are actively keeping up with NSSA rules and promoting NSSA membership and NSSA registered events.

Please note: Those not listed on the website still maintain their NSSA Instructor Certification.

Associate Instructor

Associate Instructor classes are for those who do not have a “C” class in any gun. The courses will be the same as a Level I Course, with the same materials and will be taught by a Zone Instructor. The cost is $400 plus your expenses. Associates will not be listed on the website. The primary purpose of the Associate Instructor Program is to promote youth shooting in a safe, conscientious manner, while providing the sound fundamentals of skeet shooting. These credentials are for teaching youth and not for profit. Must be 18 years of age. Once a “C” class is acquired and the Chief Instructor is informed, a Level I patch and certificate will be sent for $25.00, and that person’s name will be added to NSSA website.  (Must shoot a minimum of 300 NSSA registered targets, or five events, to establish a “C” classification, no exceptions.)

The Zone Instructors can travel anywhere in their zone, with the students paying for the instructor’s travel expenses.
