The 2024 US Open, held at the Northbrook Sporting Center in Illinois, featured 976 shooters, including 106 female competitors in the Ladies Main event. Madison Sharpe emerged as the winner, achieving an impressive score in the 1xx range. Her teammate, Shelby Moon, secured the Lady 4 position. Additionally, Madison claimed victory in the Winchester Ladies Cup Championship and earned the title of Lady Runner-Up in the Preliminary round.
In the US Open Main Veteran category, Krieghoff shooters Mike Wilgus and Will Fennell finished in the third and fifth positions, respectively.
During the overall Main Event, Braxton Oliver secured the fifth spot (M2), while Gebben Miles took home the M9 title.
In the Preliminary events leading up to the Main, Krieghoff veteran Shelby Moon clinched the Lady Championship, with Madison Sharpe closely following as the Lady Runner-Up. Turner Parcell, an emerging talent, secured the Master 6 position, and Mike Wilgus started strong as the Veteran Runner-Up.
In the FITASC discipline, Braxton Oliver achieved the Master 3 rank, and Madison Sharpe stood out as the Lady Runner-Up.
The 5 Stand competition featured Krieghoff shooters Braxton Oliver in third place overall and Michael Luongo as the Master 1st.
In Super Sporting, Brandon Powell claimed the High-Overall (HOA) title, Gebben Miles the Master 1 category, and Turner Parcell impressed as the Master 3 and Junior Runner-Up.
Krieghoff Lady shooter Karen Miles secured the Lady 3 position.
In the individual Gauge Events, Michael Luongo secured the Runner-Up spot in the 12 Gauge category. Fresh Krieghoff shooter Kayla Wilgus emerged as the new Lady Champion, and 3rd in the Junior division, Turner Parcell secured Jr. Runner-Up. Meanwhile, Mike Wilgus, Kayla’s father, took home the Veteran Champion title.
For the 20 gauge category, Brandon Powell led the way in HOA, with Michael Luongo as the Runner-Up. In the 410 bore category, Michael Luongo claimed the HOA title for an impressive overall match.
