Cribl Advances Toward FedRAMP® Authorization, Raising the Bar for Public Sector Data Security

We’re excited to share that Cribl is now officially listed as “In Process” on the FedRAMP Marketplace. This is a major step toward bringing secure, modern data solutions not only to U.S. federal agencies but across the broader public sector community.

Here’s why this milestone matters:

FedRAMP is the government-wide program that provides a standardized, rigorous approach to cloud security. By moving through the authorization process, we are making it possible for federal agencies to adopt Cribl with confidence while also signaling to state, local, and education (SLED) organizations that Cribl is operating at the highest standards of trust and security.

Why Agencies Should Care

Public sector IT teams are facing mounting challenges: rising costs, modernization pressures, and expanding compliance requirements. With FedRAMP as a foundation, agencies can rely on Cribl to:

  • Offload infrastructure management and automate upgrades
  • Scale resources on demand without losing control
  • Access new capabilities like Cribl Lake and Cribl Search in a secure, compliant environment

It is about more than compliance. It is about helping federal, state, and local teams focus less on maintenance and more on mission outcomes.

A Ripple Effect Across the Public Sector

While FedRAMP is designed specifically for federal agencies, its impact is much broader. State, local, and higher education organizations often look to federal standards as a benchmark for trust. By investing in FedRAMP maturity, Cribl has strengthened its overall security culture, operational discipline, and product robustness.

That means every public sector customer, whether federal, state, local, or higher education, benefits from the same heightened standards.

What’s Next

The “In Process” designation is just the beginning. The next milestone is achieving Authority to Operate (ATO), which will streamline procurement and accelerate adoption across federal agencies and their partners.

For the wider public sector, ATO underscores that Cribl meets the strictest security and compliance requirements. SLED organizations can move forward knowing they are working with a partner trusted at the highest federal levels.

Behind the Scenes

Reaching this point required more than a box-check. We re-architected our platform, embedded robust security controls, and integrated compliance into every layer of development and operations. This transformation shows not only technical strength but also our deep commitment to supporting evolving public sector missions.
